Day 1 Box Office Earnings for Ayushmann's An Action Hero: "Shockingly Low Numbers" of 1.31 Crore
An Action Hero, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, debuted this past Friday. The thriller directed by Anirudh Iyer is full of humour and action scenes in equal measure. Ayushmann Khurrana and Jaideep Ahlawat both appear in the movie.

At the box office, the movie had to compete with Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 2 and Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon’s Bhediya. On the first day, the movie brought in 1.31 crore. An Action Hero opened to “shockingly low numbers” on Day 1, according to film industry analyst Taran Adarsh. “#AnActionHero premieres to a startlingly low day one audience… On Days 2 and 3, the situation must be salvaged. 1.31 cr. #India business on Friday,” he wrote.

An Action Hero, directed by Ayushmann Khurrana, including an unexpected appearance by the “OG Khiladi” Akshay Kumar. Ayushmann published a special Instagram message thanking Akshay for participating in the movie. He shared a gorgeous black-and-white photo of the couple gazing away from the cameras. Flying high on the reviews and the fact that the original Khiladi is present, Ayushmann wrote, “Thank you Akshay Kumar sir for being a part of our movie. We will always be appreciative.

Ayushmann Khurrana’s promotion diaries for An Action Hero have been quite interesting. For one of his promotional stunts, he recreated Ajay Devgn’s iconic entry from the 1991 film Phool Aur Kaante.

Here is the movie’s trailer:

Vicky Donor, Bareilly Ki Barfi, Badhaai Ho, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, and many other movies feature Ayushmann Khurrana as a leading actor. On the other hand, Jaideep Ahlawat has appeared in films such as Raazi, Commando, Baaghi 3, Khatta Meetha, Gangs of Wasseypur, and other.
