Finally, the cat is out of the bag! Raj Anadkat, who portrayed television’s most adored character Tapu in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has made a formal announcement of his departure. You did really hear correctly! For a while now, the actor’s departure from the show has been in the news. The rumour around the actor leaving the programme grew louder over time, despite the actor keeping a respectful silence on the subject.

The programme has been in the headlines because Shailesh Lodha, who played Taarak on the programme, opted to leave in the middle of it before Tapu. All of the fans are still unsure of the cause.

Raj Anadkat recently announced his departure from the official on Twitter. Taarak Mehta’s Tapu wrote a lengthy statement announcing the conclusion of his quest. He expressed his gratitude to everyone for their support. He promised the audience near the conclusion that he would soon return to amuse them.

“Hello everyone, it’s time to put all questions and rumours to rest,” Raj Anadkat began his note. I’ve formally cut ties with Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and Neela Film Productions. It has been an amazing trip filled with learning, meeting friends, and some of the best years of my professional life. I want to express my gratitude to everyone who helped me along the way. My friends, family, the entire TMKOC crew, and you all, of course.

“Everyone who accepted me into the show and cherished me as ‘Tapu,’ your passion for my skill has always inspired me to do my best to each of you, each and every time.I send the TMKOC team my warmest wishes for the continuation of the programme. I’ll be back very soon to amuse you all. Keep showing your affection and encouragement,” he said.

Soon after Raj Anadkat shared the same, online users started to wonder whether the original Tapu “Bhavya Gandhi” would return.
