Kartik Aaryan recalls that once he told people about some movies, they were cancelled: “Maine jaani kabhi kisiko batana mat.”

The actor Kartik Aaryan has spoken candidly about the early stages of his career and revealed that there have been times when he has been chosen for a project only for it to be cancelled. Kartik recounted how he would tell everyone about his ventures that eventually “didn’t take off” in a recent interview. The actor claimed that after that, he realised the importance of not giving people advance notice.

Speaking of the past, Kartik claimed that he never received an apology for being passed over for a role in a movie. The actor declared that it would be “bohut bada ahsaan (huge favor)” if he were ever cast in a movie.

Kartik stated to Goodtimes in conversation: “Before my debut as well, although it didn’t take off, the movie “Mere Saath Aesa” was almost a box office success. Or else the movie “Meri film hone wali hai,” which was pure jahaan, didn’t get off the ground. Toh uske baad in fact, ek bohut sahi cheeze maine yeh jaani ki kabhi kisiko batana mat (It’s happened to me that one or such film got locked, before my debut also, and it didn’t take off. I had promised that “My film will happen,” but it never materialized. I learned later that you shouldn’t tell anyone).”

Added he, “I never disclosed to anyone that I was filming Pyaar Ka Punchnama or doing anything else when I got my first movie. Because I worried that this would be scrapped too: pata chale yeh bhi scrap hogayi toh.”

Kartik admitted that he kept his roommates in the dark when he went to filming locations. The actor promised to inform them that he was completing an internship at the Kokilaben hospital and would be there from morning until night. He gathered his 12 roommates after Pyaar Ka Punchnama’s release date was set and showed them the trailer.

Kartik’s first film was Pyaar Ka Punchnama (2011). Additionally, he appeared in the films Love Aaj Kal 2, Dhamaka, Bhool Bhulaiya 2, Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Luka Chuppi, and Pati Patni Aur Woh.

Alongside Alaya F, Kartik appears in Freddy, which is currently available on Disney+ Hotstar. In the movie, Jeniffer Piccinato is also present. In Shehzada, he will appear opposite Kriti Sanon. Satyaprem Ki Katha, which is scheduled to enter theatres on June 29, 2023, will star Kartik. Kiara Advani, in addition to Kartik, is featured in the movie.
