New Delhi: RRR, SS Rajamouli’s magnum masterpiece, is unstoppable, and how. The film has made ripples in Hollywood after a big hit at home. The film by Ram Charan and Jr NTR not only received appreciation from renowned western performers, but it also made the longlist and shortlist of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) and Oscars, respectively. Academy Award-winning actress Jessica Chastain has joined the list of Hollywood celebs who were taken aback by the enchantment that SS Rajamouli produced on the big screen with RRR.
She recently watched the film and liked it very much. For her, it was like a “party.” On Friday, Jessica retweeted a post on RRR and wrote, “Watching this film was such a party (red heart icon).” FYI: RRR’s song Naatu Naatu has been shortlisted in the Best Original Song category at the Oscars.
A few hours after the actress posted her RRR assessment, the film’s producers praised her for making them “happy.” “Jessica, you loving RRR made us happy,” they commented in response to her tweet.

RRR was included to the BAFTA longlist for Best Film (Non-English) on Friday. The filmmakers shared the exciting news on social media, writing, “Very thrilled to reveal that RRR is on the LONGLIST of BAFTA Film Awards. Thank you very much.” Following the announcement of nominees on January 19, the awards will be revealed on February 19.
That is not the case. RRR received nominations for Best Picture (Non-English Language) and Best Original Song for Naatu Naatu at the 80th Golden Globe Awards. The ceremony will take held on January 11 in Los Angeles.
The Internet also hailed the “historic occasion” when RRR’s Naatu Naatu entered the Oscars 2023 shortlist for Best Original Song. The final nominees will be announced on January 24.
RRR also includes Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Olivia Morris, and Ray Stevenson in key roles. Last April, the picture was released in theatres. Previously, notable Hollywood figures such as Aaron Stewart Ahn, Daniel Kwan, Edgar Wright, Larry Karaszewski, and Joseph Morgan praised the picture for its plot, soundtrack, and cinematography.
