Shalin Bhanot and Tina Datta’s Bigg Boss 16 romance has been making news for several weeks. The two began as friends and shortly admitted that they had feelings for one other but do not love each other. However, the viewers and roommates are perplexed by the lack of clarity surrounding their relationship status. In a recent episode, Salman Khan also requested Tina and Shalin to clarify their position to others and their supporters. Tina and Shalin were spotted avoiding one other after their confrontation with Salman Khan. They quickly got down to talk about their relationship, though.
Tina Datta claims Shalin Bhanot of being hostile during this talk. While Shalin claims that he has always stood up for her, Tina compares him to an aggressive ex-boyfriend. “You made false promises and stayed pushy,” Tina recalls. For nearly 5 years, I was in a relationship. He was also an aggressive man, and you are behaving similarly. I can’t stay in a hostile relationship, let alone a friendship. Do you believe this relationship is worth it if we bring out the worst in one other?”

While Shalin Bhanot claims to like Tina Datta, Tina admits to having feelings for him but is now cautious of the connection. Tina expresses a need for privacy. Shalin accepts, but asks her not to tell anybody else about their relationship.
Tina tells Priyanka Chahar and Sreejita De that one of her previous relationships, which lasted several years, ended with her lover hitting her.

Previously, during a Weekend Ka Vaar programme, Salman Khan inquired about Tina and Shalin’s connection. Salman Khan called their relationship “fake” and questioned Tina if she was fooling Shalin by confusing him about her emotions for him. “ “Tina, what game are you playing and with whom?” he inquires.
Salman Khan tells Tina Datta that there is no “consistency” in their equation, adding that she goes to Shalin Bhanot when she is weak and ditches him when she is strong.
Tina Datta, on the other hand, claims that she would never fall in love with Shalin Bhanot. Salman Khan then questions her about why she was dancing with Shalin on New Year’s Eve if she didn’t want anything to do with him. “Abhi toh jhagda kiya tha, jaise hi music baja chipak gaye” (You had just finished fighting, but as soon as the music started playing, you were dancing with him).
Family members of the competitors will attend the show this week. Bigg Boss 16 airs on Colors TV every Monday through Friday at 10 p.m. Weekend episodes, including Salman Khan’s Weekend Ka Vaar, air at 9.30 p.m. The programme is also accessible on the Voot Select streaming platform.
